Just upgrade from 1.07 to 1.1 rc2.
I get this strange error:

tried it several times. I use bluehost so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Where exactly do I transfer the files over to? If my smf folder is /forum do I put it there or somewhere inside there?
Teovmy, your database information is wrong in Settings.php. Go check that file.
Dsleader6, you will want to use the 1.1 RC2 update download. Before doing anything, put your forum in maintenance mode and make a backup of your SMF database and all your files. You'll need them if something breaks. Unzip the downloaded file and overwrite the files in your current SMF install. Run upgrade.php and follow the prompts. You might have to uninstall any mods before doing this. You can install new mods once the conversion is done.
