I downloaded the RC2 files, upload over the top of the old files. Then I went through the upgrade process and it said it was sucessfull, but when I attempt to go to the website I get 'The theme's default directory is wrong, please correct it by clicking this text.' When I click it I just get an error from my hoster. (UEUO) What did I do wrong? I've upload all of the files again under themes>Default yet the error still occurs? Please help asap! Thanks :-X

I think you forgot to upload the Babylon theme? If not, I think it's best to download repair_settings.php (Downloads -> Tools), upload it to your forum directory and run it from your browser. That should help you repair the settings. :)
Okay so I tried the repair thing, went through it. Now when I go to my site I get this message:
"Sorry, the copyright must be in the template.
Please notify this forum's administrator that this site is using an ILLEGAL copy of SMF!"
And just above that: "Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator."
What's going on here? :(
Apparenly one of your languagefiles - index.english.php - hasn't been updated. Are you using the default theme (Core) or a custom theme?
Default, atleast that what It was set too before I attempted to update. So should I try and re-upload that english php file? Or something else you reccomend doing? Thanks ;D
Well, that depends. Are you using the English language pack on your forums, or another language? In any case you should be using the SMF 1.1 RC2 version of the language files, not any other version. :)
English. I tried deleting the Index.English php file and upload again into the themes default file (The index.english from the RC2 update files) and now the site is worse! I can't see the template, there's errors and broken images! I'm not sure if the Babylon theme is 100% uploaded correctly, if it wasn't, could this be the cause? Thanks! :D

Thanks! But still one problem! When I log in I have the same problem? It's all white and like no images! Sorry if i'm being a pain!
Log in, and then go to index.php?theme=1. You'll be able to modify/delete the malfunctioning themes afterwards.
I don't understand how to do that? :(
Alright, step-by-step then.
- Log in;
- Go here (http://www.sourgfx.ueuo.com/forums/?theme=1);
- Go to Admin -> Themes and Lay-out -> Themes -> Restore theme paths

Okay I think it works with default fine, but now I tried to install a new theme that works with 1.1 RC2 and it doesn't work! :( It has the same problem, all white with plain text etc. Why? It said I installed it sucessfully.
Are the theme paths set correctly?

SMF will indicate whether a theme path is incorrect or not. If it is incorrect, it'll say: "Warning: the theme path is not correct!".
NVM I got it to work. But didn't like it! LOL Okay so I really want to make my own theme, but have NO clue on coding (html, php etc.) and I heard you could edit the defaults. So is there a tutorial on how to do so? I have photoshop, and I would like to edit it to have my own buttons, colours etc. If that's possible?
