Title: CGI Error SMF 1.1 RC2
Post by: toma on August 07, 2006, 10:44:30 AM
Howdy,

I have an annoying problem that occurred after I upgraded to 1.1 RC2 from 1.07. I intermittently get:

"CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers."

It happens more frequently if you're not logged in, and very frequently when accessing the Profile page, or viewing someones profile. After hitting the refresh button betwen 4-8 times the page eventually loads

The mods installed are:

1. Streaming 3 4.2.2
2. Coar's Skype Mod 1.5
3. Custom Profile Field Mod 3.11
4. Googlebot & Spiders Mod 1.0.5
5. SMF 1.0.7 / 1.1 RC2 Update 1.0
6. SMF 1.0.7 / 1.1 RC2 Update 1.0
7. Users Online Today Mod 1.4.0 Beta 2

The system is running on:

Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition
Version 5.2.3790 Service Pack 1 Build 3790

PHP 4.4.0 (cgi-fcgi) (built: Jul 11 2005 16:13:04)
Zend Engine v1.3.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2004 Zend Technologies

MySQL 4.0.25

Anybody encountered the same behavior? Or is just me  ::)
Or better yet, anybody had the problem and cured it...

That did it, no more CGI Error or any error for that matter :D

And changing to ISAPI was fairly easy so thanks for the tip. It really seems that IIS 6.0 is not doing a very good job with CGI but funny it worked so good with the SMF 1.07 version...
