I installed the theme
Themis
(http://themes.simplemachines.org/index.php?lemma=13) and ran maintenance..find and fix errors , and now its stuck in a loop all I see is a progress bargoing fro 0% to 12% never gets past 12% with the continue button counting down from 3,2,1,0 then the screen refreshes and counts down again. I never seen this before when running this. any Ideas

even if I change themes back it will still show this ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Most likely a wrong version of the theme for your forum version. Since Themis modifies Admin.template is very important to get the correct version.
After letting it sit for 15 minutes it finally finished. Its weird I never saw it display that before
Maintenace is like that in RC2..it puts progress bar to make sure the server doen't crash on waiting.
But if the time it took is new, maybe something else was wrong? making it take time to repair it?
I suggest using default theme next time - just to be sure it wasn't the theme still.
