:) love this bulletin board software and you guy's are the best by far. Only a couple of this I see need inprovement or added.
1. all mods need to be added as standard with software.
2. when a new person registers with a bulletin board you setup in your server, SMF needs to add the following info to collect like address, city, state, zip code, phone, fax, company info, birthday, sex, comments to admin only, email, website, ect... All in the register Screen from the begaining. And give you rights to asks for this or not. 8)
1. if all of the mods were added, the software would be bloated, sluggish and more controls/options than NASA spaceshuttle.
The top mods should be added into the software eg Captcha in RC3, but the arcade, ShopMod,Calendar are stuff that very people use. For the rest of people it would be in the way.
2. That information can be collected by using the mod to add extra fields.
Again most board owners wont want to collect birthday info and other addresses because it would increase the size of the databases further and make stuff slower.
Mods are just that - modifications. If you want one, you can easily install it. If the dev team feels a mod needs to be part of the core code, they'll add it.
All mods added ?? Errr... No....
That would be just way to over the top... It would take a new guy a month or more just to figure out what they do and how to use them...
LOL the idea is rather funny. There are some mods that would warrant inclusion such as some of the improvements to the permission and admin screens, but things like the ad system, arcade and what not have no place in the core.
And there are many mods that provide opposite functionality. How would it work if they were all included ? :P

Toggles, lots and lots of Toggles in the admin screen.. hehehe It would be crazy if they where all included.
