Title: Need help penning an intro for guest

ive got a visitors only board for the people who visit my board but i cant think of anything to say as the first post to set their minds at ease any suggestions?

well its just a general discussion but i created a board so that guest can ask question before signing up.  So now i want to make a sticky with this intro that im wanting to make

I wonder if having locked boards is detrimental to gaining new membership on a general discussion board?

Anyhow, In your case Id suggest letting them know that they should not be afraid of locked boards and tell them know the reasons its locked.... ie: member security etc.

Also it might be worth mentioning that that you dont allow any cliques etc... just a friendly bunch of people... something like that.

My personal view is that its cluttered.

I'd suggest using bold for the questions and regular for the answers.

I'd also suggest doing a graphic advert for the "Get rid of the Ad's" instead of filling it up with text.
