Well I am trying to set the logo through the Admin Panel... and I am using Aa_New_Damage theme...
but I dont know which address to use to locate the image...
This option is found in 'Current Theme' option
Did you upload the image to your server? You'll need to enter the url to the image, for instance
http://www.yoursite.com/images/logo.jpg
does it have to be jpg?
and i have tried that address format.. but i am using gif....
No, could be also gif, png, ... Can you copy and paste the url to your image here?
Then you should be able to use the GIF url in exactly the same way (unless the theme dictates it has to be a jpg)
the URL is... http://www.adminfuel.com/forum/logo.gif
The quick and easy way, rename your gif file to smflogo.gif and load it in to /images/
I'm thinking this may just be an "empty" option, left from the default theme. It doesn't look like that theme offers the possibility of using a custom logo. You should ask this in the topic about the theme to make sure.
I did PM the author... and he gave me this:
LainaaLook arround in the template file to see how you do images. It's some kind of php call.
Which template file?.. in index.template.php?
Yes, index.template.php. Best to look at the default theme first, to see how the logo is called for, and use that code.
Right i edited it and added it.. now the problem is the actual heard image in theme is too small so whole header broken!
This looks fine to me? I like it :)
The header has broken though... and the logo isnt in line with background
<td width="910" height="139" background="', $settings['images_url'], '/forum_body_02.jpg" align="center" valign="bottom">
<div class="title-text" style="padding:0 0 18px 0;"><img src="http://www.adminfuel.com/forum/logo.gif"/></div>
That is the bit of code.. should I align the image or something?
Best way to learn is to keep trying. Use align and padding to get the image where you want it.
Yes sorted the middle image.. just the side ones hard to do..
