Recently, I've upgraded to RC3 from 2.0.8 and some users complain of an internal server error when logging in. Then after clicking the back button the can use the forum with no problems. I'm using the oxygen theme by bloc if that means anything. You can check it out at http://artdc.org/forum/
The user was working with IE 6.0.29 I don't see the problem in Firefox or safari.
Any thoughts?

Update. I just checked with my host about the mod_security issue brought up here: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=34270.msg253872 I haven't heard back yet, but for the hell of it, I added the code to my .htacccess file. After flushing the cache and logging in 3 times the 404 error didn't occur, though it did spit out one incorrect password error. It could have been quick fingers and user error due to anticipation... I still don't want to consider this solved until it those with problems can all get in...

Edit/Update2: After logging in and out a whole batch of times I get this once in a while with a non admin account:
Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again.
I recently performed an upgrade from 1.0.7 to 1.1 RC3. I have been getting the exact same problem: Internal Server Error while logging in. It takes two attempts to successfully log in. I have seen this happen on my PC. I use Firefox. I looked at my folder and file permissions. I set the permissions to 755 and hoped that changed the problem. I failed. I am relatively new to this software, and have not had much time to look at the source code to learn it inside-out, so I am asking for help, too. :'(
