Otsikko: One more banner background question
Kirjoitti: f_inscreenname - elokuu 31, 2006, 11:24:37 AP
I changed this to make all of the background picture show up but it reverts back and cuts off 1/3rd of the pictures bottom when you log out and the "register" button pops up.  Thanks for any help.

// Because of the way width/padding are calculated, we have to tell Internet Explorer 4 and 5 that the content should be 100% wide. (or else it will assume about 108%!)
   echo '
   <div id="headerarea" style="padding: 0px 0px 80px 0px;', $context['browser']['needs_size_fix'] && !$context['browser']['is_ie6'] ? ' width: 100%;' : '', '">';

I also just noticed that the rest of the picture shows up at the bottom of the page (when logged out). If that is any help.

Can anyone help with restoring the header background picture to full size when logged out??

If you want a background on "headerarea" to always show in full, you need to set a height attribute on the id. That might not be desireable in all cases.

Just add for example..

height: 400px;

...to "headerarea" id in style.css and go from there. It might not work properly though, since the html content inside that id can be very different depending on which section of the forum you are in.

It might be impossible to just set a height. Its meant to expand with content really. How about setting a background on body instead? making headerarea with no background? At least then you will always see the whole thing.
