Hi guys,,New to this stuff (im sure youll notice) when i try to upload a new template to my forum i get the warning "no copyright in template must have copyright in template report to admin that this is an illegal copy of template" i really want to change from the default template how do i do this???
Make sure you keep the 'Powered by SMF Development Edition | SMF © 2001-2006, Lewis Media' in the borrom of the page. You are not allowed to remove that ! ;)
Are you using a 1.1 theme in SMF 1.0, or a 1.0 theme in 1.1?

I havent removed anything at all..I have enigma 2.0 rc1 smf 1.0.8 and have tried compatible templates and get the same message..
My forum changes to the "new" installed theme just with that "illegal" warning at the bottom..
Please post a link to your forum. Also, uploading the themefiles again might help.
Here is my link..

I will upload a new theme directly for you to see the illegal notice..
And if i put it back to the default setting then the illegal notice is no more..
Looks fine to me.
Try looking again, There is no forum just a big notice saying i have an illegal copy..
You should upload the /Themes/default directory again. You can find it in the installationpackage for 1.0.8.
I did that but still get the same message if i use a theme from enigma 2 lsp site then it works ok but if i use a skin from here it doesnt ...
Okay, this copyright notice is not SMF, but it's a notice for Lunar Bytes (LSP). So, I think you'd better ask for support over there.
