Otsikko: after 'successful' upload, the forum isn't there
Kirjoitti: jesusandeinstein - syyskuu 06, 2006, 09:57:34 IP
SMF Version: SMF 1.0.8
I just uploaded SMF to my server, ran the installation, and received the successful installation method.
I then clicked the button to have the install.php file deleted to keep everything secure.
I then followed the link to 'view the forum' - and all that showed up on the screen was  a question mark.
the source code looks like this -

</object></layer></span></div></table></body></html><!-- adsok -->
<script language='javascript' src='https://a12.alphagodaddy.com/hosting_ads/gd01.js'></script>

I have this hosted on my testing server on godaddy.
The folder for the forum is inside the folder for a joomla site, which I'm trying to use joomla_smf to get to work together, if I can get that far.
Here's the link: http://www.davestestingserver.com/joomlanew/forum

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks!
Dave

I got it running on a different hosting plan.  I think the problem may have been that I was trying to do it on godaddy's 'free hosting' plan, which has google ads.  the different scripts had a conflict.
I put it on a paid plan, and it works great!
