I'm building a site for cycling and other sport training logs. It is all PHP/MySQL. How easy or 'seamlessly' would I be able to incorporate my site into SMF templates? Users would need access to rather complex personal pages with multiple database queries. What I'm looking for (from SMF) is admin, member management, and bulletin board.

Adding SMF should be fairly easy.

You can use SSI.php (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/ssi_examples.php) to integrate the login and member details with the main site and SMF has a good template system,
