Otsikko: Allowing certain Members (Subscribers) to choose a Secondary Membergroup...

I searched for my request and found the topic linked:

It wasn't exactly what I was looking for, and I couldn't really get it to work.

Ok, so here is the question.  I would like for certain Membergroups to be available as a Secondary Group for a Subscriber to select from their Profile.  I don't want all the Membergroups available, but I would imagine upon creating/editing a Membergroup, the Admin could decide if this group is accessible users of other specific groups.

Specifically, if User(A) is a Subscriber and is a high school basketball player or the parent of one, I would like for them, as a Subscriber, to be able to populate their Profile with relevant information and "join" a group corresponding to what grade they are in, 2007, 2008, 2009 or 2010.

(At that point, I will create a way for college coaches to be able to access their Profiles.)

I have no clue how easy this is.  However, it would seem that the Admin could decide which Membergroups can be chosen by users and which aren't.  I already know that certain group can be given the permission to pick a Membergroup(s), like Moderators, but I only want certain Membergroups accessible to non-Admins.

Thanks for your time.
