I'm sorry to be such an idiot, but I'm kind of new to SMF.
I'm running SMF 1.1RC2. My only mod is Tiny Portal .0.8.6, but I am using a custom theme, which is a modified version of the default theme.
What's my best upgrade path for preserving as much of my theme as possible? Update package or upgrade package? There's no manual upgrade available this time around, right?
I'm guessing my best bet is to uninstall TP, switch everyone to the default theme, run the upgrade and then modify a copy of the default theme to get my custom theme back. Does that sound right?
Will my styles.css file at least remain intact?
Thanks,
jb
If you upgrade to SMF1.1RC3, your theme will be intact and also work fine on it afterwards. TinyPortal will be erased...but not its data. So by running TPv0.9.5 (you have to get that version from http://www.tinyportal.net since v0.8.6 do not support SMF1.1RC3) you will resurrect TP again.
If its a TP theme, same issue - works fine afterwards. If its a non-TP theme you need to adjust it of course.
Thanks. :)
