When I download a theme and start uploading files like index.php and such all is well. But when I get to the folders like "images" and such I have no clue how to upload these since there is a number of files in each folder. Do you have to upload each file in the folder individually or is there something I am overlooking. Again keep in mind I am total newbie. Thanks in advance.
Use the administration center to install themes.
Go to Administration - Themes and Layout - Install a New Theme and just upload the theme archive file from your computer.
If you want to manually upload everything via ftp, just upload the folder with the files, because each file inside a folder will be uploaded automatically by your ftp client ;)
See that's the thing if I choose to upload from my computer and I select the folder I downloaded to my desktop it won't allow me to choose the whole folder. It wants me to select each individual file the folder contains.

You have to upload the archive file containing the theme files. You don't need to extract and than upload. The forum will do that for you ;)
I see, well right now I am doing it via FTP which seems to be working, hopefully I don't hose my board, lol. Thanks for the help.
Wow, how simple can it be after I used FTP. Problem with installing it from the file directly from my Mac is my Mac was unzipping the file automatically. But other than that I have to say SMF has made it so simple even a hillbilly like me can figure it out. But I did notice when I used the Dilbermc theme it shows a lot of red X's instead of buttons, sometimes it comes out right sometimes it doesn't. Butt again thanks guys.
