A Place To Put All Affiliate Buttons
There is a link mod and I coded up a quick tweak on how to add links to the bottom of the Info Center a little while ago. I'll dig it up.
EDIT: Okay here it is.
In BoardIndex.template.php find:
// If they are logged in, but SP1 style information is off... show a personal message bar.
if ($context['user']['is_logged'] && !$settings['show_sp1_info'])
{
echo '
<tr>
<td class="catbg" colspan="2">', $txt[159], '</td>
</tr><tr>
<td class="windowbg" width="20" valign="middle" align="center">
', $context['allow_pm'] ? '<a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=pm">' : '', '<img src="', $settings['images_url'], '/message_sm.gif" alt="', $txt[159], '" border="0" />', $context['allow_pm'] ? '</a>' : '', '
</td>
<td class="windowbg2" valign="top">
<b><a href="', $scripturl, '?action=pm">', $txt[159], '</a></b><br />
<span class="smalltext">
', $txt[660], ' ', $context['user']['messages'], ' ', $context['user']['messages'] == 1 ? $txt[471] : $txt[153], '.... ', $txt[661], $context['allow_pm'] ? ' <a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=pm">' . $txt[662] . '</a>' : '', ' ', $txt[663], '
</span>
</td>
</tr>';
}
and add after it
// Affiliates?
echo'
<tr>
<td class="catbg" colspan="2">Affiliates</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="windowbg" width="20" valign="middle" align="center">
<img src="', $settings['images_url'], '/icons/members.gif" border="0" width="20" alt="Affiliates" />';
echo' </td>
<td class="windowbg2" width="100%">
<a href="http://www.babysimpson.co.uk"> <img src="http://www.babysimpson.co.uk/images/button1.gif"alt="The Cutest Baby" border=0 width="88" height="31"> </a>
</td>
</tr>';
You can replace
<a href="http://www.babysimpson.co.uk"> <img src="http://www.babysimpson.co.uk/images/button1.gif"alt="The Cutest Baby" border=0 width="88" height="31"> </a>
with any buttons you like.

Use your FTP to download Themes/[Theme]/BoardIndex.template.php to your computer, then open it up in something like Notepad then find the first block of code I posted, and add the second block after it. Then upload it again, overwriting the old one.
(Where [Theme] is your theme)

ok.. wats
LainaaYour FTP
???
File Transfer Protocol, how you upload SMF. But it seems that you're using SMF For Free. So you cant do it.

i cant do mods >:(
wats difference between SMF and SMFFORFREE
SMF For Free has options in SMF removed like the Package Manager and you dont have an FTP. The SMF you download here and upload yourself is the full thing.
-AwwLilMaggie
can i transfer SMFFORFREE to SMF
To be honest, I dont know. If you can back up your database on SMF For Free then yes. I'd recommend that you consult the SMF For Free support at http://www.smfsupport.com/support/
