Our forum's version is 1.1 RC3 and I'm making my own theme based on SMF default.
Forum here: http://www.kareinen.com/rpg/smf/index.php
Our forum now:

I added background:

This is how I want it to be (I Photoshopped this image):

I made that width adjusted using <div> commands, should I use table instead of div or how I could make our forum to look exactly I want?
Yes, you need to add a table to your index.template.php to achieve what you're looking for.
Open up your index.template.php:
Find
<body>';
Replace with:
<body background="nameofbackgroundimage.gif"><center><table width="80%"><tr><td class="windowbg">
You can alter the width % to whatever you'd like for your own needs.
Then:
Find
</body></html>';
Replace with:
</td></tr></table></center></body></html>';
That should solve your problem.
Enjoy your SMF boards.
Thank you!
Just one probleml:

Can I add some space to the new table's borders, like this:

Looks like you've already figured that part on your own, glad it worked out for you. Enjoy.
