Title: opera problem
Post by: baladeva on September 14, 2006, 12:02:20 PM
i am running all the newest versions of the bridge, the smf_forum and joomla

only in opera i have a big problem:

when i use the wrapped forum, i have only a black and white screen with some  unknown indications in there,

like this:

(https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fharekrischna.de%2Fopera.png&hash=0fc25605ef7cbb28503f08e589ad448c22a99ff6)

if i just call the forum (unwrapped) - no problem:
http://www.harekrischna.de/forum/index.php

a soon i take the link in the menü, for the bridge _component and wrapp it, i have this error,
http://www.harekrischna.de/home/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,122/

when i look at the source from that site it is exactly this:
i did not find any problem in ie or firefox,

since there are still many opera_users,  i cant ignore this, searching 4 help now

no. you really need to turn it OFF in SMF.   Use it on in Joomla if you want it.

Quoteand also i find a little error, when deleting a theme (thread), the forum jumps out of the wrapp,

Turn off SEF in SMF.  If you wish to use SEF, turn it on in Joomla, not in SMF.

SMF 1.1 (December 02) + Joomla 1.0.11 + SMF-Joomla-Bridge 1.1.6
Language: Russian UTF-8 both (Joomla & SMF)
PHP 4.4.2
Gzip enabled (Joomla & SMF)
wrapped/unwrapped - no difference

I have same problem too with Opera 9.02. BUT! If set "mask as IE" (or mozilla) - no any problem! Is it special for Opera?

you must turn of Gzip in SMF, and
Why? My users want have gzip on forum!

Except trouble with SMF i have trouble with module mod_smf_login from bridge 1.1.6: all pages loaded only to module position. After caption "Login form" i see rubbish as your pic.

Then turn it on in Joomla.  Joomla will compress the page.  If you turn it on in SMF, then Joomla gets a compressed page from SMF, which it tries to edit with the bridge.

Orstio

Look:

In all variants all pages loaded only to mod_smf_login position.

1. Wrapped
1.1 English, SMF gzip on/off - no difference:
ONLY if i click forum link then i see correct forum and module.
1.2 Russian UTF-8 , SMF gzip on/off - no difference:
All pages loaded only to mod_smf_login position. If I try forum link - equal as baladeva screen.

2. Unwrapped
Russian UTF-8/English - no difference, SMF gzip on/off - no difference: forum work correct. Trouble only with mod_smf_login on Joomla pages.

But the bottom line is that you are not having the same problem that baladeva described in the first post in this topic?

Trouble only with mod_smf_login on Joomla pages.
After the mainmenu module:
</table> </div>
<div class="moduletable">
</div>
<div class="moduletable">
<h3>
Login form </h3>
     xZn-~qZ\$
DU #!^ݕd%'

s5-[_a

and more to the end of page.

Ups... If disable Joomla gzip - mod_smf_login work correct. But I need gzip.
