What's the difference between SMF 1.0.8 and SMF 1.1 RC3?
Please answer, I don't know which to download/install.
SMF 1.0.8 is the current stable version.
SMF 1.1 RC3 is the new addition of SMF and in the final form it will be SMF 1.1
For new people I generally have to say use SMF 1.1 RC3 since there are mods/themes and better features in this edition and you won't have to worry about a major upgrade from 1.0.8
K thanks.
What does RC stand for?
So there is more mods/themes for 1.1 RC3 then?
RC stands for release candidate which means this release contains all the major features for the final release.
Take a look at this "What should I use, SMF 1.0 or 1.1?"

K, thanks.
I've decided to use RC3
I have one more question,
I know how to install a theme,
but how do i uninstall a theme?
Install a theme just upload it to your themes folder then put the path to the new theme in your admin panel in the themes section.
Unistall is easy from SMF.
Is 1.1 RC3 same version as 1.1.3?
No. 1.1 RC3 was a release candidate and not a final version.
After 1.1 RC3, there was 1.1 FINAL, 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3 and now 1.1.4.
If I upgrade 1.1 RC3 to 1.1.4, will I lose my posts/topics from my forum then?
No, that wouldn't be much of an upgrade would it?
