I'm positive that has been fixed for the next release. If you want to fix it yourself, however:
In Themes/default/languages/ModSettings.english.php:
find
$txt['onlineEnable'] = 'Show online/fffline in posts and PMs';
replace:
$txt['onlineEnable'] = 'Show online/offline in posts and PMs';
