You can currently set a max characters per post, but not minium. The only mod avalible doesn't work with the latest version unfortuanly.
Another thing which I think could be handy would be a no edit after certain length of time, this will stop members editing posts later on if people quote them or reply to what they say then they change what they've written.
I think an admin way of forcing people to 'return to topic' would be good too; this may slow members down and cause less spam.

The mod says it is for 1.1 RC2, so it probably would be rather simple to adjust it to work for 1.1 RC3. I'll take a look at it.

If you are using 1.1x you can already set how long a post can be edited for: Admin / Posts and Topics / Maximum time after posting to allow edit

Do you mean make it so the user doesn't have the option to return to the board at all? Because SMF currently supports away to make returning to the topic a default setting for new members and can override the setting for existing members.

Could you tell me how to do the return to topic thing? I did go through all the menus I thought I would be under but didn't see it. Do I need to do it per member group or something?
