I was wondering if anyone has made, or is making an SDK for the board itself (not the packages).
Something similar to http://ipbsdk.sourceforget.net (http://ipbsdk.sourceforget.net).
This would be useful for people who want to integrate whole sites into the forum with users, comments and other junk. :)
I'm willing to participate with anyone interested in working on this (I just don't have a lot of free time).
Thanks :D

There is also SMF API available from tools in the download section.
Both of these things have some good stuff, but neither has exactly what I'm looking for, so I guess I can just modify it to suit my needs.
But thank you. =)
SMF 1.1 also has a bunch of built-in integration hooks. Orstio (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?action=profile;u=3289) can give you more info on those.
Does it have the ability to get posts from a specific board? Not necessarily all new topics, but new topics from board A or something...?
You can do that with SSI.php.
how ? I read it, and it looked like none of the functions take any arguments..
... maybe I'm retarded?
Have a read of the source of SSI.php, it explains a lot more. Look at the SSI FAQs as well.. search for them here.
Oh, I just read what was on that one page, I didn't read the source of the thing, maybe that would be a wise idea....
... thanks. =)
One of the things we are working (slowly) on is basically making the SMF source a giant API. So that once you include SSI all you'll have to do is include the file that handles that particular piece and call some function.
Which would be awesome. =]
You should have seen me when I found out about createPost() in SMF 1.1. I thought I was going to cry :P
O_O no way...
... hey, how do I use SSI.php to only get the topics from a specific board? I've been modifying SSI.php and change NOT IN $exclude_boards to IN $exclude_boards, but it still gets topics from other boards, me no likey.
[EDIT]
Nevermind. I'm retarded, it works right. =]
[EDIT2]
Okay, no it doesn't. It only works until you view the board, then it disappears, how do I stop that? I want it to just get the ten newest topics from board 2, and display some simple info...
