** Before I start, let me tell ya'll tht I have done a lot of research and then too wasn't able to come up with a solution.**
To start with lemme tell you what all I've done so far.. and hopefully someone will guide me in the right direction.
1> I had a new forum set up at http://www.wishlost.com/Forum . About 70 registered users and around 600+ posts. Everything was fine until something got screwed up and the view what u see now is a result of it.
I should have made a better choice before starting, but all I can do now is regret :( .
2> I installed SMF (version 1.0.8, that's by default since I use Fantastico.) Figured out that there is a newer version .. so downloaded the SMF 1.1 RC3 - update from http://simplemachines.org/download/ and upgraded the version.
The upgrade went fine.
3> Downloaded both the converters phpBB2_to_smf.php and convert.php.
4> Tried using both of them. But am failing at some point.
My smf forum is installed at http://www.wishlost.com/smfforum/ . Both the forums use different databases, as I installed it using Fantastico.
The database information of both the installations (phpBB and smf) is available in config.php and settings.php files, respectively. So I can get the user name and password information for both the databases.
Now logically thinking, we should mention the source table (phpBB2 Table) and the destination table (smf Table) some where so that convertion works fine without any hitch. May be the code does it all.
Now, this is where I'm. Can any one guide me from here.. what are the changes that should go in and which particular files.
A little detailed explanation would help.

PS: If anyone needs more info, point out to what more needs to go in. I don't want to loose my members and the posts.
Any and all the help will definitely help me :).
There should be a phpbb2_to_smf.sql file, where you have downloaded the convert.php.
You'll send both files via FTP, then run convert.php
In short:
For 1.0.8 conversion, you should use phpbb2_to_smf.php
For 1.1 RC3 conversion, you should use convert.php and phpbb2_to_smf.sql
