Title: IPB 1.2 to SMF 1.1RC3
Post by: DawnOwar on November 16, 2006, 05:19:21 PM
I've got my brand new SMF1.1RC3 board ready to go.

Only problem is that when I try to run the converter it doesn't accept my SMF password.
I am 100% sure I am using the correct password and typing it correctly.

Any clue what you do about that?

If you still have the IPB 1.2 files, I can take a look and see how passwords were hashed in that version of IPB. Otherwise you'll probably just have to reset your password. SMF does support the password hashing methods used by IPB 1.3 and 2.0/2.1, so if it was different in 1.2, we'll have to add additional code to make it work.

I've got the IPB 1.2 board still running at http://www.ross-the-boss.com/invision
Not sure if you need me to send you a file in particular?

I tried changing the password on the admin account in SMF but it didn't do any good.

I'm not sure which file handles logins/registrations and all that. Send me a copy of index.php from that board and I should be able to figure out what file I need.
