how about Referer in registration


asking which member refered you to this community,


and if some one refers, his profile must show Referes 1 or as many he refered.

It can help you get more members because then people will refer people to the forum as much as possible to get their referer number higher.

i'd like it, but not to keep track of some sort of thing but because my forum is private and only open by invite

At one time I was working on a Referral Rewards system for YaBB SE, but gave it up. (Several reasons - mainly because I was trying to merge it with Spaceman-spiff's referral mod. I was trying to make it work for LSP, YaBB SE and SuperMod, and wanted to make a convertor to the new merged mod from both Spiff's mod and my mod for all three systems - got to be too complicated, and then SMF came out...).
