I just upgraded to SMF 1.1
Am on a host with
Msql ver 4.1.2

my forum was working well till I tried to click on one of the boards to post a message.
I got this error:
Database Error
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ' 1, 2)' at line 3
File: /home/albert/public_html/Sources/MessageIndex.php
Line: 103
I dont know how to code in sql. I was wondering if I should upgrade to Msql 5 (my host gave this option)
Someone please help.
a link to your forum, if thats ok?
how did you upgrade. did you upload manually or did you use the infamous webinstall.php.
make sure new files actually got uploaded, check the dates next to them in ftp, see if they are recent.
i used webinstall.
I checked, the files are all updated.
Simple way is, just uninstall all yr mods, doesn't matter test fails...Now notedown the source files where test failed! Replace them using ftp. Now it should work properly...
Now install mods one by one. Check which s causing you problem
ibexy you can do as nitins60 said above if you have installed mods..
But If you could attach the MessageIndex.php to your Post (Additional Options -> Attach) so me or somebody else can take a look at what could be possibly causing it.
People, I think the problem is solved. I manually removed all of the whole installation and then put it all right back. Painfull but now its working.
Thanks to you all
