Title: Do Avatars Get Cached?
Post by: 127.0.0.1 on December 26, 2006, 08:06:14 AM
Do the avatars when loaded as src="......index.php?action=dlattach;attach=828;type=avatar" get cached? Or are they downloaded each time from the server?

On my theme I have the avatar set to 30x30, aside from that nothing about it has changed however it looks like it's refreshing on every page hit because it takes a second to appear in IE while every other page and graphic loads instantaneously.

I'd think it should be cached - don't see why we'd send a no-cache header for it. Can you check your apache logs to see whether you are indeed getting more than one request?

Good idea. I checked and no more than one request. It's definitely caching. I guess it is an IE7 issue.

Thanks for the reply.
