Title: SMF should have it's own portal
Post by: tarch on August 06, 2004, 02:29:05 PM
since SMF is a totally different forum software, i think it should have it's own portal... not postnuke module, or xoops, or whatever.

The link Nameless gave explain that Kevin and the SMF team is working on a port (or a complete rewrite?) of a popular IPB portal.  So, yes, SMF will have its own portal :)

It is a complete rewrite. Only thing he is carrying over is probably some functions. The portal's insides are totally different than the IPB one.
