Are you Developing SMF with to work with some of the newer features of lamp
such as php 5.0.0b1 and to take advantage of mysql 4.0+ new features
The requirments for the 1.0 release are PHP 4.1.0 and MySQL 3.23.4.
erm mabey I should put it another way O_o
Will it work on php5.0.0b1
As PHP is backwards compatible, it should be. Since I have never worked with PHP 5.x I can't say for sure.
:o have to see when the SMF is out then :)
I have tested it with a more recent cvs version of PHP, and yes it does... it's even faster.

If it doesn't, it's a problem wth PHP, not SMF. It's supposed to be backward compatible
