I know you can add custom icons, but when you select this option, it then "deletes" the default list, and you need to begin again. I am using 1.12, so i see the add on for the Smiley, is there a way someone can build a way for message icons in the same way.
Basically: How can you keep the default message icons and add new ones?
More specifically, we need a way to allow users to add a country flag to their post topic, and it was felt that using message icons would be the best way. It's mostly just two flags needed: USA and Canada. We do not want to delete the default list of info, question etc....

if you want country flags why not use the location mod?
because as the admin, I would like to put the country ico next to the topic as it applies to county. i.e if I place a message for Canada, I would like Canadians to see it right away---and putting Canada only in the topic heading is not an option (not enough space)...
