Hi Guys, I wonder why each year post moderation seems to not make the cut.
( visual warning is not what I refer to)
Simply a person posts and and admin or moderator would approve it
if it met peraminters and then general public would see.
a notice would be sent to the admin/mod and let them know of a new post.
and would also be in a new post to be approved list/
With the larger list of crack/spammers hitting up forums this would be helpful
to see and is long over due. Perhaps allowing one to be moderated until after so many posts.
This could be done as a membergroup option as well.

as discussed in many places. this feature is planned for the next major SMF release.
As Nemini said everything you have asked for will be available after the SMF 1.1 series ;)

I'm playing with the idea to create a little mod/hack that could take care of topic approval (not sure about single posts, wouldn't make much sense IMO). I think moving new topics to a hidden board (or one that has limited access) based on certain conditions could do the trick. Topics will need an extra 'tag' to show which board they were posted in.

I just installed SMF with the hopes that it had the post moderation feature and find that it doesn't, I run a forum that continues to be hit by spammers and need something with far better security than what I currently have.

Have you checked the Visual Warning Modification?
