This mod load each time the english language files before it load the selected user language.
For what is that good?
If you use for example german as standard language an install a mod it change only the english files this mod load the english files before the german are loaded, so it would at least shown the english txt files so that you can see the text or settings of the mod. (This is only for text not for the pictures, the pictures must be avaible at least for the language!).
Other good example is for Multi Language forum you can install a mod, and let it work and translate step by step the languages you need :).
A other thing what the mod not remove is the error message if some language file is missing for the language! It would load the english one but would not remove the error, because i think at least this should be made even if it only a copy of the english version.

So now i installed the mod, and you see at least the english language information.

The mod have also a option to disable the function if all the language changes are made and the loading of the English language file is not needed any more.
If you install the mod, think that it incrase the server load, because it need to inlude more files. For large forums it could be possible slow down the board.

I thought SMF cache each time the complete English language and overwrite it with the current one you use... and store this into a cache (that what i thought *g*).
But i will test it for sure ;).

This is indeed a great mod so far. Combined with Language File Compare mod, I can create a more language-friendly forum when installing new mods. Just remember to turn this mod off after finished translating all missing text strings :)

Hi, just found this mod! But I need it to 2.0 too...
So i testet in smf 2.0 and i see this version need a mod like this, too :).
I've allready created one and i need only to test it today, after that i will release the mod (as long the mod work) 8).

There is a problem with you package manager ;).
Did you give the package directory the permission to write (777)?

Am I correct that in SMF 2.0 RC1 it will not work? At install it do not modify one file, but says it is correctly installed. So I also do not have the option to disable or enable it in the admin panel (features & options)?

I would wonder if I am the first SMF RC1 User who needs this genious mod!
But as much I needed it I looked into the package and look why it doesn´t do anything.
In the file package-info.xml there are the lines:
<install for="2.0 Beta 3.1 Public, 2.0 Beta 4">
and
<uninstall for="2.0 Beta 3.1 Public, 2.0 Beta 4">
As you may think, the actual 2.0 RC1 is here missing, just put this in:
<install for="2.0 Beta 3.1 Public, 2.0 Beta 4, 2.0 RC1">
...
<uninstall for="2.0 Beta 3.1 Public, 2.0 Beta 4, 2.0 RC1">
and install it now to your SMF. Voila it modifies the needed files and work perfectly with the actual RC1!
Yes i thought smf solved the problem with language, so that missing items will be loaded at least English. But i think it does not work. I will update the mod ;).

It's under Features and Options -> Layout -> Disable the Load Standard Language Function

As I have installed the files correctly it works perfect. i know the thing from the 1.1.8 version. Please put these "install" info for RC1 on the mod site, I think lot of people will have the same problem.

hmmm, got a test failed on one of my forums regarding the modsettings.php any clue what i need to do?
You will need to edit that template manually.
But do not upload your edited template until you have installed the mod.
So go ahead and install the mod regardless of the error warning and then manually edit that modsettings.php?

I just found a little glitch
Thank You MOd install language in english and german...but i use english-utf
the thank you text in posts, where i click for a thank you are missing in utf8
so maybe it does not load missing language for the utf version, at least for english???
If you use utf8 it use the english utf8 as standard... i will not use diffrent charsets for the output, i could insert a every time load of the standard language but it took 1 file per load on utf8 and it could be possible not readable afterward (because of non utf8 characters).
I must think about it... possible i will insert a option for it... because this could be fast a lot files that are loaded...

Hmm are you sure the package is correct? Can you're server unpack it? Because it tested it and it work fine.

Nope this is not so easy and will be only working if the standard function would be used and which theme use the standard function... nearly no theme. And in the new smf version with the new theme this would be more impossible to do...

This Mod is not working with RC3... SMF iteself should do the work now oO...
DIN, I investigated the behaviour in 2.0 RC2/3 as to specifically what it does do. Seems the claims were somewhat vague.
Modifications.english.php is always loaded before any Modifications.otherlanguage.php, but for other language files, English isn't loaded first by default.
I encountered this with SimpleDesk, so I included a wrapper around loadLanguage to force it to load other languages too.

I can confirm RC3 doesn't do the loading itself. An updated version would be nice. :)
If someone else will update my mod i give the rights to anyone who like to update it. ;)
