Title: SMF and Joomla in one database Newbie Question
Post by: blood618^_^ on April 19, 2007, 12:32:05 AM
Hi!

Im going to setup a Website where it is intergated with the forums. (meaning it can do logins and do website features and forum features in just 1 username.)

The question is how can I integrate my SMF to Joomla?

example:

I want my News and Announcements to be shown in the website and also in the forums...
I want a Login panel on my Index Website where it logs on to the forums.
I also want latest threads and latest things shown in the index website ...

kinda like a portal...
=======================

what should i do ? i know this is a very long type for you guys... and im really willing to do this i just dont know anything about Joomla or Mambo... i havent used any of these softwares...

anyway. My current status is that SMF is the only software i installed.. honestly i havent installed any mamboo or joomla in my site yet... what is the current good version complatible for the smf 1.1.2 ?

again thank you so much for any help.

If that is all that you want, I suggest using TinyPortal.   Joomla and mambo are more powerful, but also more involved...
