Alien Shine is a forum skin designed with accessibility in mind. Although it is a relatively small width wise, it has been organized in a way to keep everything very readable.
The Alien Shine theme also has many extra features coded right into the theme. One of the main ones is a welcome message for guests, giving them the option to log in or register. You will not find this feature built-in in many SMF themes. Also, unlike many other themes, when viewing the posts, the post information appears above the post. Also, the header is blank, so it is very easy to add your site's text or logo to it.

Tested With: Firefox 2 and IE 7. The next version will work with Opera.
Next Version will include: Fixed Admin Panel, Working in Opera, liquid width, and more.

Interesting but isnt this already possible on all themes, you know they click on register

This theme doesn't work.
Or at least the ZIP file that is distributed as being this theme isn't working on (my) SMF (1.1.2).
Things like the artwork not present or hardlinks to gurnk.com (the home link for instance) are unacceptable to me. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but it's not working out of the box.

But it does not work out of the box. I downloaded from this site went and installed it and erm no graphics what so ever... using both firefox and Internet Explorer 7 no joy what so ever ! ? Can't understand why Simple-machines released this style to the public when it does not work...

The problem is that the style.css file is the wrong one. To fix this theme, (which I was able to do on my own :D) follow these steps:
Unzip the "alien_shine.zip" file you downloaded.
Go to http://gurnk.com/dev/Themes/alien_shine/style.css (http://gurnk.com/dev/Themes/alien_shine/style.css).
Copy everything you see (right-click, select all, right-click, copy).
Open the style.css file in the alien_shine folder on your computer with notepad (or another text editor).
Remove everything you see, and right click on the now blank notepad window. Then click paste.
Delete the zip document you unzipped earlier (NOT the folder that came from it).
Now zip up the alien_shine folder, and install the Alien Shine theme to your forum with the new .zip file.
I hope that worked for everyone!

You just need to settle down. People work hard on these themes and give them away for free, and you sit around bashing them. If you don't like how it's done, go pay a fortune for something else.

Theme has bugs.....
