I just found out that with SMF the maximum avatar filesize is the same as the attachment max filesize.

This is crazy, I mean I'd like my members to be able to post large attachments, but I certainly don't want them having avatars with equally huge filesizes.

IMO they need to be completely seperate options.

Certainly agree with you! SMF file handling functions must be developed
