Two things:
There should be a page on simplemachines.org where you can find smiley sets like how you can find skins.
Second: there should be a nice smiley set which works on dark backgrounds. There currently isn't one as far as I know.

an additional smiley section would be great
I don't think we have enough to make a section just for them. If people want to create a few (no rips please) and submit them, there will be enough demand that a section for that might be created.
