Title: TikiWiki portal/CMS modlue
Post by: mattisme on October 01, 2004, 12:39:26 PM
Is there a way of integrating the TikiWiki Portal/CMS with SMF?  Or maybe a module could be made for it?

http://tikiwiki.org
It's the perfect package that I'm looking for, but I'm not willing to give up my SMF fourm.

Can anyone help?

I've heard... scary things about the number of queries a single page view can pull with that CMS.  Scary things.

[ 265 database queries used ]

Have you contacted them about this prospect, at all?

I have tested this portal/wiki and it is bloated with features.
Just looking at the homepage caused the script to do over 250 queries on the database.
With me as the only user on a Dual PIII 800 with 1 GB of memory it was very slow. :o

Ths scipts has loads of very nice features but this was too much :(

I can't image a single excuse for 250 queries on any web page. Any page that uses more than 25 queries is pushing it...
