Title: Dear gosh, need some urgent help: SMF cannot connect to DB
Post by: perlgoodies on June 02, 2007, 08:37:53 PM
Okay, I admit this is more than likely my fault but at this time NO part of my forum loads-- it errors with Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.

I DID just finish changing the password from the admin panel because I didn't know what PW it was using at the time, so the second I typed in a new one- BAM! It's all offline. I can't even access the admin panel right now.

So how do I go back in and fix it? I'm not even sure what the main password was to begin with. Which DB table should I be looking in if I have to?

Can anyone lend me a hand?

Try using repair_settings.php :)

What is repair_settings.php? (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=18096.0)
