Title: SMF *destroys* the other variables stored in the session
Post by: euthymos on June 03, 2007, 10:16:42 AM
Dear SMF users,

in my website, I use PHP sessions to store data.

But if the user enters into the SMF forum, all the data stored in his session is COMPLETELY DESTROYED, so that when the user exits the forum, that data cannot be recalled by the PHP pages of my website. Why? Is there any way to prevent this?

I think you can do it by going to
Admin > Server Settings > Feature Configuration > Enable local storage of cookies >
Check on

Use subdomain independent cookies
Check Off

I may be wrong.
