Hi all,
How would I post recent topics on the index page similar to http://www.tinyportal.net/
I have been searching all day and cannot find the answer.
Thanks for any feedback
Install Tiny Portal.
At last check, TinyPortal wasn't very stable and has been temporarily removed?

I've seen a lot of questions about problems originating from the mod. I would recommend looking for an alternative for now.
I already have a index page that I like and was hoping I could just add code. Is this possible that would show Recent Topics.
Is this possible?

The main development of Tiny Portal moved to http://tinyportal.net
You can show the resent posts by going Admin > Current Posts > Number of recent posts to display on board index

Thanks for the replies.
The main focus of the site is a directory. What I am trying to do is add a side menu section on the index page of the last 5 or 10 post. This will hopefully attract more ppl to the forum.
I am looking for code that I can place and have the box look like the Recent Topics on the main of http://www.tinyportal.net/
Look at SSI.php in your forum directory.
ssi_examples.php to see examples of how SSI.php works.

To be more clear, use the examples from ssi_examples.php in your boardindex.template file.
Actually, no. That wouldnt work, if you want recent posts INSIDE of your forum then go Admin > Current Theme > Number of recent posts to display on board index (why I said posts earlier I dont know) which is much easier.
But if you want it OUTSIDE of your forum, then you'll have to use the ssi_examples.php method.
