Title: how to convert to SMF?
Post by: gijs on October 07, 2004, 04:23:42 AM
Can anyone tell me how to convert LSP / Enigma (=yabbse + portal: www.lunabyte.com) to SMF?

I know that I will be missing the portal functions of LSP, but I really like the functionalities of SMF...

Have you tried backing everything up, and upgrading just like you would from YaBB SE?

I assumed that changes to the database by LSP affected the upgrade possibilities...  :-\ (assumption is the mother of all..  :D)

I will give this a try soon, and report my findings here... thx

LSP developers are hard at work on a new version that will work with SMF (and several other systems as well apparently). The current version was built around YaBB SE and still uses a lot of YaBB SE's code, so it's probably going to be a while before they're done. I'm using it now and am just going to put up with it until the SMF-compatible version is out.
