But update was applied successfully.
So your telling me to update? Even though I still got the error
Timing out.
I have been trying for hours to ugrade too 1.1.3 but I keep getting this message......
Quotehttp://www.adviseoranswers.com/index.php?action=packages;sa=install;package=smf_patch_1.1.3_1.0.11.tar.gz 4.231.87.31 /index.php?action=packages;sa=install2;package=smf_patch_1.1.3_1.0.11.tar.gz www.adviseoranswers.com Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4 500
Any ideas on why?
added:
I get the error when I click the install button. I receive " Test successful" on all 13 actions during the testing process.
@Miles: What error are you getting? The update supposedly should not affect your mods, but there's always that small percentage that it may/will.
@AdviseorAnswers: Is that the entire error message or is some part of it cut off there? Doesn't make sense....
I am only getting , Test Failed on the following
post.php
That's the entire message. It only appears about 1 out of 6 times that I attempt the upgrade. When the message does not appear, I only get a blank screen when I click install.
Any Ideas on how I can update my site ?
I have several modifications running on my site, as well as some other code changes I made by hand. If I upgrade to 1.1.3 will I have to do them all over again?
Also, can I skip the 1.1.3 upgrade and just wait for 2.0? Or is the 1.1.3 upgrade essential to be ready later on for 2.0?
Thanks!

Yes.
Anyway you can do a rollback if something will go wrong :)
So goahead and install it with the error on post.php it will still work? how do I do a roll back?

Through the Package Manager, I guess :)
I had same error with Post.php as I said earlier; and after installing of update my forum is still working properly... except some bug with fast quotation, which was fixed by inserting of string «$context['sub_template'] = 'quotefast';» into the end of QuoteFast() function :)
Miles™, one of the mods has added this line to Post.php (line 2034):
, m.ID_MEMBER AS ID_MEMBER_CHECK, b.ID_BOARD as ID_BOARD_CHECK
Other than that, I don't see any other modifications that would get in the way of the update.
Remove that line, save and reupload Post.php. Update your forum and then add the line again.
Does it work?
I did that now when I click the link
You can install this patch (click here to install) to update your version of SMF to 1.1.3.

Can you explain how do you know it doesn't work anymore?
Does it say "Powered by SMF 1.1.2" or "Powered by SMF 1.1.3" at the end of each page?
I mean when I go to the package manager and try to install the update after I removed that line from the post.php file and re uploaded it I can't install the update just sits there and loads for ever

Why don''t you try to upgrade your forum manually then. Grab the small update package, upload all of its contents to your forum directory and point your browser to the upgrade.php file. But first make a back up and don''t forget to delete upgrade.php file after you are done.
P.s. Did you make a copy of the post.php file prior to make that change sarge adviced you to?
Still same Error, I'll try babyjusi's method
