Na het uploaden van smf 1.1.3 ben ik begonnen met instaleren.
Helaas is na de eerste stap de volgende fout te zien

Alle gegevens zijn juist inegvuld.
Iemand enig idee wat nu te doen?
php versie is 5
en mysql versie is 5.0.33

Op een andere site heb ik de instalatie ook geprobeerd. Daar draait php 4 en mysql 5.0.33
daar krijg ik de volgende foutmelding:

normaliter zou dit niet mogen.... ligt beetje aan je host

normaal vul je daar voor localhost in
Bij mij is dat normaal.
Hostnaam: mysql.borderline.nl
Heb al 6 site's bij hun en bij iedere site moet ik zo een soort hostname invullen.
Als ik localhost doe krijg ik:
Cannot connect to the MySQL database server with the supplied data.

daar moest ik het ook op die manier doen;)
Nope is zit bij vevida.nl
Op weer een andere site is de instalatie wel gelukt.
php versie 4
en mysql versie 4.0.27
Kan het aan de versie van de php op mysql liggen?
ja ligt aan je php versie moet minimaal 4.1.0 of hoger zijn !!
oke dat heb ik......
Op de 2 site's waar ik een poging doe en de foutmeldingen krijg draait php 5
Op de site waar de instalatie gelukt is draait php 4.
Ik praat hier dus over 3 verschillende domein namen.
www.a.nl
krijgt foutmelding:

php 5.2.3
mysql 5.0.33
op site b draait
php 4.4.7
mysql 5.0.33
op www.c.nl is de instalie gelukt en daar draait
php 4.4.7
mysql 4.0.27
Alleen het probleem is dat ik op www.c.nl geen smf forum wil hebben maar op www.a.nl wil ik een smf forum draaien.
Hoop dat het zo duidelijk is.
zou toch even contact opnemen met je host normaliter connect je naar MySQL via poort 3306 somige hosts draaien op een andere poort..
zijn je database gegevens wel correct ?
hostname
db name
db user
db pass
De database gegevens kloppen allemaal.
Heb ze gister vers in de mail gehad en met deze gegevens kom ik ook phpmyadmin en dergelijke in.
Ik heb zojuist een mail gestuurd met de vraag op welke poort de de mysql draait.
Nadat ik de vraag had gesteld kreeg ik het bericht dat de server juist antwoorde en dat hier geen problemen in zaten.
Ik heb opnieuw de instalatie gestart en nu is deze met succes doorlopen.
Wat het euvel is geweest blijft de grote vraag, maar het belangrijkste is dat alles werkt :P
