Title: What is the MOD that does the designations?
Post by: Toma Grubb on August 08, 2007, 04:54:48 PM
I see the badge or what ever it is called with the people in this and other forums that tells new people the expertise of the one that replies to a post. I would like to be able to do the same for my site. Is it possible give more than one such badge? On my site I would like to have "Diabetic Mentor", "nutrition trainer" " site tech support" etc. so people would have some idea of the value of the post. (Not to say their is no value in some one without such a badge)

What is this module and where can I find it?

There is a mod that will allow more than one badge but I don't know if it will work correctly with SMF 1.1.3

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

I have found the mod and have it installed but have been unable to find where to use it. I am sure it must be in the admin panel somewhere.

I'm not sure as this isn't a mod I'm particularly familiar with.

Have you checked the membergroup pages in the admin area?

You might also find the answer in the mods support thread (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=32323.0)

I simply designed logos/symbols for each of my Membergroups and put them into the images directory in my current theme.

You then assign the logo (Image) to a specific membergroup.  I guess in this Forum you would see Charter Member, Support, Admin etc.

To make it show, I think it has to be the member's primary membership group for the logo to show up.  You can always give other designations in the background
