dont mean to sound thick, im new to this but ive got a couple of mods, smilies and signature settings downloaded into my forum but i have no idea how to use them ::) i want to be able to add more smilies and have extra settings to enlarge members signatures but havent a clue how to do it.

But really, how much have you looked around in the admin panel yourself before you came here? Many times when I've asked for help I have felt ashamed because the answer was right there in front of me. So I suggest you just take another slightly more thurough look, then go to the forum I linked you to, because this one ("Feature Requests") is for users who want something changed or improved with the SMF software.
