Otsikko: I've lost my www.!
Kirjoitti: SimplePlan2k8 - elokuu 15, 2007, 01:37:03 IP
This is odd.
I recently changed server with my website and set up a new account in Dreamweaver for it so I could pull files off my old FTP server and add it to the new one.
It's all online (http://www.euronintendo.co.uk) and working, but there is one BIG problem. If you click on any link it drops the www. and goes to http://euronintendo.co.uk/whatever the page is.
This has never happened before, and I would like to know what settings on the new server could have caused this.
I don't want to bug the support guys as they are busy currently, so has anyone else experienced said problem before and have any ideas on how to solve it?
Also, I noticed I had set my Dreamweaver account up as http://euronintendo.co.uk, missing the www. for some reason. Does Dreamweaver upload a file that tells the site to go to the non-www. address or is this not relevant?
PLEASE HELP ME!
Thanks

PS: Also, it gives you Error 406 when going to a page which is not followed by a trailing slash. eg http://www.euronintendo.co.uk/forum

Ok, update.
This should make things a little clearer.
I've been reading online that a little thing called mod_rewrite may help. Any ideas? Thanks
