Hi there :)

I've been busy making my buttongenerator work with GIF support and adjusting the scripts. And I succeeded as you can see on :

Please let me know what you think of it and maybe there are members who want their buttonsets on it : just send them to me.

You could just download the SMF RC2 main files... ;) In there you will find examples of the unread button in the "default" theme...thats what I meant. You still have to make a similar icon though...

Ah, ok, well not every buttonset is the same.

I would like to make a seperate section where I can put the SMF buttonsets, so I can keep them up-to-date ;)

It is a lot of work to put a new iconset in it, because I have to cut off all the images, and make these gif's transparent before I can use it on the buttongenerator.

I have added the SMF buttons.

I only need to know the font type ;)

You might want to speak to him before going public with them - or at least acknowledge   him on your generator.

It's just that the image is an odd-directioned gradient.

And if possible, can text color default to #FFFFFF?

I would prefer to have more / other buttons myself ;)

Vey nice job on the button generator.  For the SMF style buttons -- would it be possible to choose a custom button color like is done with the font color? (eg enter RGB values?)

Webby, you could host it on my dedicated server depending on if you can give me an estimate of how much bandwidth and stuff it will take.  I have a few other people (mostly friends) hosted on my server.  It would just be a test account, though, so I would hope you would only put SMF stuff like this onto it and not production things (if you want to do that, you will have to pay for the account with me).

You can check the speeds in the links on my sig, all are on that server.  It has cPanel and Fantastico included as well. PM me if you are interested.

Yeah, as far as i can see this font supports many languages with japanese as well.
Hence, it really weighs 22Mb.
Sure, working with unicode may require generator's script tuning, but it can help not only with japanese.

You are using the wrong font. With the font you are using you MUST use CAPITALS, try it ;)

Well, I've got it now, but what's next......do I have to upload this?  It isn't a .ttf but a .ttc .......

But I would have thought it needs to be installed on the server that your button generator is running on.  Uploading it would not be sufficient.

For example, my PC running Windows XP has support for far eastern text installed.  This font was in my fonts directory.

Can anyone else advise?

If you are in agreement, I have my own server running and I would be interested to try this out.  Obviously to do this, I would need access to your original PHP code files.  I have no desire to rip off what you are doing and anyhow, I am a total nooby when it comes to php.

Please let me know where I could access your files from if you are willing.

Well, it's a bit different on Linux, and in any case the ttf support in PHP actually directly reads in the TTF file.  It may also work with TTC files, I'm not actually sure.  Try it ;).

Ok, this is where I'm having some trouble...I downloaded the GD Library, but I don't know how to get it to make the buttons... >:( Can someone help me?

It may just be me but when I use the buttongenerator the text I type gets put really small on the button and I think it gets translated into German.  But, I'm not sure entirely sure about that because the text on the button become very small.

Are you actually selecting a font in the drop down box where it indicates SMF_(USE CAPS), if you leave it as default it generates garbage

I'd like it to generate a button without an icon next to it - can this be done?

Yeah I left it as default because I figured it'd give the default font that Babylonking used on the button.

when i go to the site and hit generate the button an error results, are we suppose to do this their website or download something

When you click the link you just open the frontpage of a dutch? forum... what happend to the genrator, do one have to sign up on a german board to get to it ??? ?
