In SMF 1.0.9. there is an option in the Admin-Panel
Edit Features and Options -> Layout and Options -> Maximum topics to display in the message index
which gives (as I have seen it on the board of a friend) a very useful listing of a certain number (e.g. 20) of new postings at the bottom of the main page.
Here is an example: http://www.izvorite.com/smf/index.php
I couldn't find this option in my newly installed version SMF 1.1.3
Does anybody have an idea on this subject?
Thanks!
It's there, it was just moved. :)
This topic may help:
http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?topic=858.0. Look under "Layout and Options."
Ok, thank you for the fast reply! I found it under
LainaaLayout and Options
Maximum topics to display in the message index (Posts and Topics -> Topic Settings)
But I found this option already activated like this:
Number of topics per page in the message index: 20 topicsBut the listing of the recent postings still doesn't show up in the bottom line of the main page... :(
I found the solution!
Current Theme's Settings -> Themes and Settings -> Number of recent posts to display on board index
Now its OK, thanks!
