I would like to see a mod that would add a [localtime][/localtime] bbcode.

That way if a user uses that bbcode and puts a time within it like 9 pm it would correct it to the local users time in another time zone.

Example: User A is in EST and puts [localtime]9 pm[/localtime] into a post, user B in PST would see it as 6:00 pm.

I would like to see this work for posts, PM's, news, and newsletter.

My forum is used to announce time based events, and users get confused when by what time they are to be there even if EST, CST, ets is added.

Thank you.

Personally I think this would be better a mod.

Currently the easiest way to do what you're asking would be to make sure users have set the time offset in their profile and then link topics to events in the calendar.
