Otsikko: Making new buttons in menu?
Kirjoitti: pcigre - syyskuu 22, 2007, 11:31:28 AP
Im sure this was zillion times, but i just can't find it via search... Probably badly choosen key words.

I need possibility to add links in menu (in Home       Help       Search            Admin            Profile       My Messages       Calendar       Members line).

Any mod? I know to do it via editing manualy termplate, but other admins don't have ftp access...

Thank you in advance

For the default theme see: How to add tabs to Core (NDT)? (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=63203.0). If you're using a different theme please post which one :)

If the other admins do not have FTP access, as long as you are using a custom theme, admins can edit the index.template.php file at: Admin / Themes and Layout / Themes and Settings / Theme Name / Modify the index template. (the main template).

Its not only that they don't have ftp... They aren't really skilled in editing...

I don't know of any mod that exists that provides an interface for doing this. However I'll move this to Mod Requests (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=79.0) so mod authors may be more likely to see your request.

In the mean time, perhaps if you know how to do this yourself, you can set up a topic in a private area where your admins/mods can request buttons to be added to the menu?
